Planex Communications Inc.(President/CEO : Katsuaki Kubota, Headquarter : Tokyo Shibuya-ku, JASDAQ code 6784 ) announced today our acquisition of 「WPS（Wi-Fi Protected Setup）」certification by Wi-Fi alliance for Planex's Draft IEEE802.11n compatible products. WPS is a protocol for easy setup of security and connection for wireless LAN device without complex setup in the past. It enables easy setup for even different manufacturer's router and client as far as they are WPS certified products. Also since it is compatible with robust security「WPA2」, Internet surfing becomes more efficient and easy access. The products that passed the certification test can use the logo mark for its package. Therefore, consumer can choose them with ease for interconnect compliant.
