Notes on Wireless LAN and Security
(The following provides important information regarding customer's rights.)

Instead of using the LAN cable, wireless LAN enables to communicate between PCs and wireless access point with using the electric wave, thus you can enjoy the LAN connection if you are in the area where the electric wave is reached. At the same time, because the electric wave can be reached to anywhere beyond any obstructions (such as walls) in the available area, it may cause problems if you have not finished the security setup.

- The interception for communication information
A malicious third party may intentionally intercept radio waves and steal IDs, passwords, credit card numbers, e-mail messages and other personal information.

- Hacking
A malicious third party may access a personal or corporate network without permission in attempting to retrieve personal information or confidential information (information leak), disseminate wrong information by pretending to be someone else (spoofing), modify intercepted communication data and send modified data (alteration), or release computer viruses, etc., in order to destroy data and systems (sabotage).

Basically, the wireless LAN card and the wireless access point have the security protecting function in response to these problems, therefore you can make it lower the possibility of problems occurred by using the products after completing the security setting. There may be the case that the security related setting has not been done for the wireless LAN devices just after the purchase. Therefore, in order for users to reduce the possibility of security related problems, please follow the manual and complete the security related setting for the wireless LAN device before using the wireless LAN card or wireless LAN access point. Also, due to the wireless LAN specification, there may be the case of breaking the security setting by the special method. We appreciate your understanding.
