Set up the wireless LAN built-in computer(Windows Vista/XP/Mac OS X)
Set up the wireless LAN using wireless LAN set up function in the computer.
The same set up for this product will be done with the PC and then connection wirelessly each other


In case of using utility software for the wireless LAN adapter, Refer to the manual attached to wireless LAN adapter you use.

If your PC covers the following functions, the wireless LAN set up can be done with standard OS wireless configuration.

(1)Internal wireless LAN
(2)Windows Vista, Windows XP, Mac OSX

Click the OS in use.

- Windows Vista

- Windows XP (SP2)

- Mac OS X (10.4)

- Mac OS X (10.5)


 
- Windows Vista
1 (1)Click [Start].
(2) Click [Connect To].


 
2 Click the same SSID (Network name) that you set up to this product and Click [Connect].
* If you connect this product with default setting, select "planexuser".
Click [Internet connection].

If you can not set the wireless LAN, please delete the unnecessary SSID.


 
3 Enter the security key or the passphrase that you set up for this product and Click [Connect].
* If you connect this product with default setting, enter "WEP Key" on the bottom of this product.
Click[Wireless]

"Successfully connected to xxx" (xxx is the network name that you set at )is displayed.

5 Click [Next].

 
6 Select the network location from "Home", "Work" or "Public location".
Successfully connected

"User Account Control" is displayed.

 
7 Click [Continue].

 
09 Click [Close].
click [close]


Setup is completed.

Start up the web browser to confirm the wireless connection.

- Windows XP (SP2)
1 (1)Click [Start].
(2) Click "Control Panel".


 
2 Click "Network and Internet Connections".
*When it's a classic display, Double-click "Internet Connections" and move to .

 
3 Click "Network Connections".

 
4 (1)Right click "Wireless Network Connection".
(2)Click "Properties".


 
5 (1)Click "Wireless Networks" tab.
(2)Make a check in the box of "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" on.
(3)Click [Add].


If "Wireless Networks" tab is not displayed, there may be that the utility other than OS standard, is running. In that case, please stop the utility

(1)Configure the setting in response to the information originally set.*.
(2)Click [OK].


- WEP


* If you use this product with default setting, enter the followings:

Item

Network Name (SSID) planexuser
Network authentication Common key
Encrypted data WEP
Network key Enter "WEP Key" on the bottom of this product.
The index for the keys 1

 

- WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK






7 (1)Confirm that it has been added to [Preferred networks].
In here "Network name (SSID)" is displayed.
(2)Click [OK].





Setup is completed.

Start up the web browser to confirm the wireless connection.

- Mac OS X (10.4)
Click "System Preferences"from Apple Menu

 


Click "Network".

 


(1)Click "AirMac".
(2) Click [Configure].

Or click "Network Status" and select "AirMac" from the pull down menu.

 


(1)Click "TCP/IP".
(2)Select "Using DHCP".

 


Click "AirPort".

 


(1)Select "Preferred networks".
(2)Click [+] mark.

 


(1)Enter SSID (Network Name) assigned to this product.
* If you connect this product with default setting, enter "planexuser".
(2)Select the security assigned to this product.
* If you use this product with default setting, select "WEP Password".
(3)Enter the security key assigned to this product (WEP key or passphrase).
* If you connect this product with default setting, enter "WEP Key" on the bottom of this product.
(4)Click [OK].

 


(1)Drag the network name that you set up and move it to the top of the list.
(2)Click [Apply Now].


Close the window.

 


Confirm the check mark in the network name assigned at (1) by clicking AirMac at menu bar.


Setup is completed.

Start up the web browser to confirm the wireless connection.

- Mac OS X (10.5)
Click "System Preferences"from Apple Menu

 


Click "Network".

 


(1)Click "AirPort".
(2)Confirm the status is "On".
*If "Status" is not "On", Click [Turn AirPort On].
(3)Click [Advanced].

 


(1)Click "TCP/IP".
(2)Select "Using DHCP".

 


Click "AirPort".

 


Click [+] mark.

 


(1)Enter SSID (Network Name) assigned to this product.
* If you connect this product with default setting, enter "planexuser".
(2)Select the security assigned to this product.
* If you use this product with default setting, select "WEP Password".
(3)Enter the security key assigned to this product (WEP key or passphrase).
* If you connect this product with default setting, enter "WEP Key" on the bottom of this product.
(4)Click [Add].

 


Enter the password used for Mac OS X and Click [OK].

 


Drag the network name assigned at (1).
(2)Click [OK].

 


Select the network name assinged at .

 


(1)Enter the password set up at .

* If you connect this product with default setting, enter "WEP Key" on the bottom of this product.
(2)Click [OK].

 


Click [Apply].

 


Close the window.

 


Confirm the check mark in the network name assigned at (1) by clicking AirPort at menu bar.


The Setup is completed.

Start up the web browser to confirm the wireless connection.
