SS-0224FP 24-port 10/100Mbps + 2-port Gigabit switch
The SS-0224FP Power over Ethernet switch supports 24 10/100BASE-TX ports (Auto-MDI/MDIX), 2 1000BASE-T ports/ 2 mini GBIC slots ( 2 Giga combo ports) . This switch has an integrated management agent, which provides an embedded web server, SNMP, RMON, console/telnet session capabilities.
 
PoE(Power over Ethernet) function
  This product has PoE function conforming to IEEE 802.3af, providing both data transfers and power supply through one Ethernet cable. Device supporting PoE function connected to the product would not need power plug nearby, increasing the level of freedom for layout planning. In addition, maintenance capabilities could be improved with implementation of the product. With function of remote ON/OFF switch, it would be possible to use IP phones without interruption even during power failure. (UPS is required)
 
24-port 10/100BASE-TX+Gigabit compatible 2 combo-ports
  2 combo-ports providing 1000BASE-T and Mini GBIC in addition to the PoE compatible twenty four 10/100BASE-TX ports. This switch is best suited for use on backbones for networks handling big amounts of data and multimedia in the business environments where high-level information processing capabilities are needed.
 
Intelligent function
 

Compatible with SNMP RMON function. In addition it is equipped with a control protocol for multicast packet. It also allows network configurations via console serial port, Telnet or WEB.

* SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)
The TCP/IP network management protocol. Compatible with the standard protocol specifications and used when management information of network equipment (agent) such as router and switch is sent to the management system (the manager).
Compatible SNMP:MIB-II/RMON MIB

* RMON (Remote Network Monitoring) function
Function which collects and analyses network traffic information. Equipped with the function to expand SNM in network management protocol, and allows management of communication status of remote network.

The VLAN function logically grouping terminals
  Terminals that are connected to this product can be grouped by a tag VLAN function which supports up to 256 groups. It is possible to create logical network segment not restricted by physically connected network structure.
 
QoS function guaranteeing communication quality
  Control of communication quality is possible with IEEE802.1p conformant QoS function(up to 4 levels).Traffic prioritization guarantees communication bandwidth for network applications like groupware databases, thus increasing their availability.
 
Trunk function guaranteeing wideband connection between switches
  In case when two SS-0224FP units are connected, combining multiple physical connections into one, link between switches is provided with wideband connection. SS-0224FP can combine the maximum of 8 ports, connection with the maximum 1.6Gbps transmission rate is achievable.
 
Spanning tree function conformant to IEEE802.1d
  Utilizing the spanning tree function, permanent data looping prevention is possible even within the physically looping networks. Because of the function (1) it is not necessary to reset permanently looping network, (2) at the time of occurrence of obstacles, it can guarantee redundant conversion routes.
 
Port mirroring function
  Incoming and outgoing packets on specified ports can be copies (mirrored) to different port. Connected to a port running Sniffer or other monitoring equipment, it can access detail data of packets passing through other predefined port.
 
All ports are AutoMDI/MDI-X compatible
  All ports provided with AutoMDI/MDI-X function, allowing automatic detection of Straight/Cross cables connected, avoiding wiring problems.
 
High communication efficiency flow control function
  Equipped with flow control function (duplex: IEEE802.3x/Half duplex: Back pressure), packets mismatching sending and receiving speeds are destroyed. High communication efficiency with superior reliability is achieved. Non-wasteful network is implemented.
 
Store and forward transfer cutting erroneous packets
  Uses store and forward transmission mode. Erroneous packets are cut off in the “SS-0224FP, decreasing generation of wasteful traffic.
 
Set up through Web browser
  Network settings can be adjusted via the serial port, Telnet as well as Web browser. The Web browser interface allows easy configuration of each port. Configuration of each port is also possible through internet, using local server function of the router.
 
Setting CLI Interface
  Command Line Interface (CLI) commonly used for configuring network devices has been adopted as the setting screen of the product. Thus, the burden of learning the local commands applicable for a specific device is reduced, allowing for much easier network management. The usual straightforward GUI is adopted as the Web setting screen.
