Let's Match Online by using PSP™ and PCI WLAN products! Compatible List Connected via  XLink Kai

All you need is, first, to prepare a computer connecting with the Internet and PCI USB WLAN adapter. Second, plug the USB WLAN adapter into the computer and install the "XLink Kai" software to the computer. After that, you can Match Online.

Because the configurations of every type of the WLAN adapter are a bit different, the basic setup of the WLAN adapter should be referred to the manual of the model.
Here we take GW-US54Mini for example.

1. Preparation & Notification
  • Make sure that your PSP™ game supports online match.
  • Prepare two adapters (a WLAN adapter and a LAN adapter or two WLAN adapters). Here we use a WLAN adapter and a LAN adapter.
  • Install the adapters and their utilities on the computer
  • Be sure your LAN adapter can connect with the Internet
  • If your LAN adapter is connect to the Internet via a router
2. Registration of XLink
  1. After entering the website ( http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/ ) , you have to register first. Please click " SIGN UP " on the top of the tool bar.
  2. After filling in the required fields, click " Submit ".
  3. Go back to the e-mail which you registered to get the confirmation e-mail, and then click the link on the mail to finish registration.
3. Download & Installation of XLink
  1. Click " Downloads " on the top of the tool bar.
  2. Select your operating system.
  3. Click " Download " to start download the file. After downloading, you may extract the file and execute "xlinkkaievo7.exe" file to install XLink.
4. XLink Setup
Start Kai Config and then follow the information below to set up XLink. ( Default X Tag is your Username and the Default Password is the Password. Please pay attention - If you used any router or other device, please open the DMZ function or Virtual Server port: 30000. )
5. PSP Setup
Switch on the wireless connection button on the left side of PSP™ .
And here we take " Monster Hunter Portable " for example.
1. Enter Network Settings. 2. Choose the Ad Hoc Mode.
   
3. Select the channel in use for the PSPTM™ 4. Press the "O" button to save settings you've made.
   
5. Start the game "Monster Hunter Portable." 6. Go to the place where can enter the lobby. Choose X to be online and enter the lobby. (If choose to be offline, you can play the game without other players.)
   
 
7. If selecting online, it will automatically connecting the gaming room.  
   
6. WLAN Adapter Setup
After entering the adapter's utility, find the SSID of PSP and click to connect with it.
After building the connection, the LED of the wireless connection on the left panel of PSP will be blinking steadily.
7. Start to Use XLink Kai

 
1. After entering XLink Kai program, click "Switch to Diagnostics Mode".
 
2. Go back to the index page
 
3. Enter PSP and choose the game you want to play.
4. Open the game zone and wait for others to play the game with you.
 
Notification :
  • The value of wireless connection is the WLAN specification; however, it does not represent the actual data transmission rate.
  • XLink Kai has NOT pass the approval of WiFi CERTIFIED ®.
  • XLink Kai has been confirmed that it can be used on Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2003x64 / XP / XPx64.  However, we still have not proved if it can operate normally on Windows 98SE/ME.
